Some people will try to drag you down, belittle you, envy you, be jealous of you, hate you and more. To the strong--keep being strong--and to the 'weaker'--rise up, and have a voice--speak up if you feel you have been wronged. To quote Martin Luther King, Jr, "I'm not fearing any man, mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord." 'What's Going On,' by Marvin Gaye is the main reason why I paint what I paint. When I heard this song as a young child--I imagined what he was singing about. So--I had all of the images that you are currently seeing in my head many moons ago as a youngster. It just took me over two decades to finally paint what was in my mind. I used the imagery of 'What's Going On,' and the aesthetics of the Jazz Era to complete my vision. My story is not that 'simple,' but in a way it is. ~Szuchay
